Viara is operated by IndicWave LLC ("we", "us"). This notice applies to "consumer health data" as defined under Washington's My Health My Data Act, Nevada's consumer health data law (SB 370), and Connecticut's consumer health data amendments. It stands on its own, as those laws require, but supplements (and doesn't replace) our full Privacy Policy, which covers everything else about how we handle your information.
1. What counts as consumer health data here
Medications, conditions, allergies, vital signs, immunizations, growth and developmental milestones, lab results, insurance details, appointments, care notes, uploaded medical documents, and advance directive status (DNR, POLST, living will, healthcare power of attorney) that you, or someone you've invited into a person's care circle, enters about a person in your care.
2. Where it comes from
Directly from you, or from another adult you've invited into that person's care circle. We never infer, purchase, or collect it from any other source.
3. Why we collect and share it
Solely to provide Viara's core function: helping your family track and coordinate care. We do not use consumer health data for advertising, do not sell it, and do not share it with data brokers.
4. How collection and sharing actually work
Viara doesn't collect consumer health data on its own. It's collected because you, or someone you've invited, chooses to enter it. Sharing works the same way: information about a person in your care is visible only to the specific family members you invite into that person's care circle, at the permission level you set for them when you send the invite. You can review or revoke anyone's access at any time from your family's member list, and you can stop entering new information whenever you choose.
5. No geofencing
We do not use geofencing technology of any kind, including around health care facilities, to collect consumer health data or infer anything about your health.
6. Your rights
- Access and export a copy of consumer health data, in JSON format, from Settings → Privacy.
- Delete it permanently and immediately, from the same screen.
- Ask us a question or raise a concern at support@viara.io; we'll respond within 45 days.
7. If something goes wrong
If we discover a security incident that compromises your consumer health data, we'll notify affected users without unreasonable delay, and no later than 30 days after we confirm it.
8. Where to complain
Washington residents may bring a private right of action under RCW 19.373. Nevada and Connecticut residents may contact their state Attorney General's office.
